**** that! go wherever the hell you want, you're an adult.
wow so, whats the problem with the boyfriend? do they think youre gonna sleep with him, or not get any study done? pff. man, i am so so glad that my parents aren't like that. go anyway, this is YOUR future. not your parents, not your boyfriends, and not your friends, and your parents need to understand that.
If the parents were that afraid of their daughter becoming pregnant and having to drop out, couldn't they have just shared congratulations and rewards....and then begged and pleaded to provide her with several methods of birth control?
college decisions are life long. who ur dating now and what ur parents think won't matter worth shit in a year (or next week for that matter)
Awww that sucks - I hope you're still going, though! Seriously, their mentality is bullshit. Even if your current bf doesn't go there, you might find a new one. They might as well give it up and let you go. Congrats on the scholarship.
You're an adult; you can go to whatever college you feel like going to. Congrats on getting the scholarship, by the way. The rest of your life is ahead of you, so understand your parents' concern, but explain to them that being an adult also means the requirement of doing things on your own. They can't hold your hand forever. -_- FYL.
(Some parents aren't good parents.) Good for you for getting a scholarship! & I like xxreikoxx #81 comment.
My parents did the same thing when I was going to college. I got a really big scholarship and they said I couldn't take it because my ex-boyfriend went there. Guess they thought we were getting back together or something. Anyway, congratulations on the scholarship, and I hope everything works out!
OP if you want to go to this college because of the education opportunities AND a great scholarship then GO. it's your life and your choice so you should do whatever it is to make you happy.
Your parents should suck a ****, and you should have the self respect to choose whatever collage you want

screw them ur 18 now, or over, and you can do what you want. legally. fyl, but ur rly not in a bad situation
Wow, that's lame... Unless it was an easy college to get into. Then they might think he is the only reason you're going.
