Today, I was arguing with a friend over whether or not I'm fat. She kept telling me that I was. Angry, I sat down on the chair beside her. It broke. FML

The only thing worse than fat people are fat people who don't think they're fat.

Aw I'm sorry :(. Atleast you didnt break a couch or something and only a chair

no one likes a fat person in denial about their weight. What is up with random people writing f ucking paragraphs on posts? TO ANYONE WHO POSTS MULTIPLE PARAGRAPHS YOUR ADVICE AND OPINION IS ABOUT AS USEFUL AS A BROKEN CONDOM!!!.

Oh the irony : ... I bet she did something to that chair on purpose

13, you just wrote one, your sidetracking, & TYPING LIKE THIS DOESN'T MEAN YOUR YELLING OR COOL SO CALM THE **** DOWN.

For a good few weeks my mom's pee was radioactive from some medicine she took..

You should have settled for sitting on the floor. Less likely to break.

Get a new friend she sounds like a b***h

So she's a bitch for being honest? Please clarify your sentence. :/

No, she's a bitch for phrasing it bad. You're not supposed to walk up to an overweight friend and say "DERP UR FAT LOLZ!" You should mention you've been concerned about their weight and ask if they want to go to the gym with you or something.

#50, you do have a point, but if I was in op's shoes, I would want a friend who would be brutally honest, even if it hurts.

#50, Maybe OP's friend did say she was concerned about her weight in a more tactful way, and OP overreacted. To many people, "I'm concerned about your weight," translates to "I think you're fat", no matter how tactful the friend is. Especially if OP is self conscious about it.

Seems more like she's in denial 83. Honestly if I was getting overweight and was oblivious to it it I would like a friend to be honest and upfront about it. It could end up being a serious weight problem.

OP's friend "kept telling" her she was fat. Honesty is nice but what's the point if your message isn't being received? Repeating it just makes you a bitch insulting her friend.

Maybe the friend was just very concerned? The OP could have gained a lot in a short period of time. There isn't much space to know exactly what happened and how everything was phrased, but I'd like to think no one would walk up to their friend and tell them they are fat in a rude way

Sorry 24#, but I think you'd make a crap friend. If OP doesn't think she's fat, she's probably a little chubby (or even not fat at all). I don't think there is any chance that someone who has a serious health issue due to how overweight they are is not going to realise they keep having to buy XXL everytime they get a new pair of jeans. I also don't agree it's her friends place to tell her whether she is fat or not. Maybe she's comfortable in her body and doesn't want to lose weight. If she truly is putting on weight rather rapidly and you're concerned, I still don't think it's your place to say anything, as a friend. As family, or as a partner, maybe, but your friend's waistline isn't really any of your business.

Even if a friend is comfortable in their own body or certain lifestyle if it's unhealthy as a friend we would say something whether they want to hear it or not. We speak up about it cause we care. If you just watch them damage their health and never speak up about it what kind of friend do you think that would make you?

Well it sound like it was a intervention more then a argument

*gasp* i modded this one. I feel special i can help get other peeps fmls on but cant get any of my own on

when i read the start i thought it would end up being you thought you were fat but your friend was disagreeing : it sucks that your friend's a bitch but there may have been some truth to what she was saying
