Today, I was arguing with a friend over whether or not I'm fat. She kept telling me that I was. Angry, I sat down on the chair beside her. It broke. FML

The only thing worse than fat people are fat people who don't think they're fat.

He, don't feel bad. I only weigh 140 and I broke a couch by sitting on it.

Hmmmm u break the chairs leg, then feel bad? think about the chair feelings!!!!!!!! And i doubt ur fat. U were just prob. Wereing heavy cloths

At least she's being honest and not sugarcoating everything in your face and talking about it behind your back. The truth hurts. Although the way you put it, it sounds like she was too brutal with her statement, so FYL.

Why is she your friend if she's calling you fat?

Why are you arguing? Step on a scale and you'll have your answer. I'd think if you are chair-breaking fat, then the determination of whether or not you are fat is not very controversial.

You can't look at yourself in the mirror and tell that you're fat? I mean I get trying to hide it or being ashamed of it, but I honestly don't see how people "don't know they're fat". How can you not know?

We see people everyday which such mental issues that make them think they are too fat or too skinny and end up starving or eating to the point it's life threatening. Being teased their whole lives, media, uneducated in what is/isn't healthy, even family can be a factor in why they have these weight issues.

Well, I ask, because I'm overweight -- there's no doubt about that and when I look in the mirror, it's obvious. If you really are overweight, you'd know it.

And I should add that I realize people have distorted views of their own body, but I guess it's just hard for me to understand because I've never really been in the situation.
