Today, I was at a Christmas party when I noticed someone had taken all of the cash I had from out of my wallet. It was a family gathering. I'm related to the culprit but have no idea who it is. FML

What kind of arsehole steals from their own family?? I hope you find who did it OP.

I would make a general announcement that there is a thief in your midst. I wouldn't be surprised if a manhunt started and everyone is searched.

It's happened to me too. $120 just stolen right out of my wallet while I was sleeping. They left the wallet next to my feet. Never found out who it was.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say, but I don't like it.

That sucks OP. It could be they have an addiction problem (just one possibility) in which case it is really hard - but people who are addicted may steal from family to get their fix or drink. I hope you find out who it is and can help them if need be/get your money back

Yep. Can't trust family, either. You realize that even career thieves have family; OP merely happens to have one over for a get-together.

Well at least you've learned you can't trust anyone. Next time I'd keep your wallet on you or locked up in your room.

Forgive my French, but why the actual **** is your wallet off your person during ANY social gathering of over 3 people? As much as I have faith in humanity, I can't turn ignorantly away from the fact that it feels as if 90% people in this century are scum. Friend or family, alike. You have my condolences.

Well hope you find out who...if not I hope they send it back to you with a card full guilt...
