Today, I was at a job interview at McDonalds. All was going well until the manager told me that I'd have to remove the piercing that I have on my eyebrow. I didn't think that my mole would be so confusing. FML

I just turned 16. I have had a job at a landscaping business for 2 years and now have a job at Texas Roadhouse instead. OP must be absolutely desperate or just an idiot applying at mcdonalds

In this economy, sometimes mcdonalds is a last resort. Would you rather swallow your pride or starve? I also highly doubt that a landscaping bussiness would hire a 14 year old, unless your related to someone in the bussiness.

I did both and they are at the same level very terrible jobs. but at the mcdonalds I worked at no one told the girls they had to take out there lip peircings

I work at mcdonalds. and quite honestly it's one of the best things I have ever done so far in my life. I love the job. plus if you work for Maccas you get pretty good discounts at other stores. like movies and clothing and shit.

Agreed. Both me and my sister work at Quick, the Belgian version of McDonalds. It's awesome working there. Pays really well and you get an hour lunch time with free food. And my coworkers are all awesome as well.

Who said OP isn't going to school? Newsflash, College is expensive and many college students get jobs at McDonalds to pay for their tuition.

A lot of college and uni students work at MacDonalds. You pay for tuition, a long-term investment. Jobs fill the gap by providing money in the short-term. However, given the market slump, some people need to be working for longer periods of time. Tuition in North America has increased by 150-200% (in a decade) while the average wage has only increased 5-10% (also a decade). Do you see how the numbers don't add up? So there's nothing wrong with working at MacDonalds. Whatever pays the bills. Maybe this is OP's first job interview. Maybe OP is young.
