Today, I was at a mall. A woman stopped by me, said slowly and loudly, in Spanish "baño?" Knowing a bit of Spanish, I nodded and pointed the restrooms out for her. She then mutters about "dang Mexicans and their inability to speak English". I'm not even Latina. I'm Irish-American. FML

I'm black Irish and I've had people ask me if I'm Mexican, solely based on the dark hair. People are so ignorant.

Wow she sucks at being a racist. When I used to work at a pharmacy, I overheard a lady complaining to the manager how "grape stompers" and other ethnicities should learn to understand english before working with the public just because I didn't understand her question the first time she asked (the bitch was a grade-A mumbler). My manager had even had to ask her to repeat herself which pissed the lady off even more. When I go home I look up "grape stomper". Apparently its a racial slur for Italians. I don't have a drop of Italian in me.

I personally think it'd be hilarious to go around throwing racist comments toward people that are painfully obviously not that race/ethnicity.

Yea agree with #180, and this is my recent story. (I'm an asian BTW, from head to toe) I was out with a few friends at a park. As we are about to leave I gather up all the track and walked over to the trash can to throw it away. On the way back, there were these group of red necks yelling at me "hey, where is my beer?" not wanting to ruin my day I ignored them and kept on walking. Another yelled out "What's the problem don't you speak spanish...?" I kept on walking whiling thinking, either they are just really bad at been racist or I actually look more hispanic then I think (which I don't at all). Couple second later the same one that made the last comment finally realized he made and mistake and yelled again "oh um....don't speak english??" I actually had a good come back but I was too amazed at how dumb they can be to say anything back...

That lady is definitely effed in the head. I'm sure a lot of Mexican people can at least hold a conversation in English though. I mean, think about it. If someone came up to you and asked you something in your native language.. you'd reply in your native language, right? If she at least made an effort to ask in English I'm sure they would've understood. Ugh makes me so angry to imagine that people like these exist... and they're all over the place. So um... FYL because you live around retards like those.

Dude... I'm Irish American myself.... That's insulting. I'm sorry you had to deal with that racism!

#172 You should make sure you haven't made any grammatical mistakes of your own before chastising others. "I could really care less of what you look like but would rather focus on working that noggin." That sentence is nonsensical; if you COULD care less, you obviously care somewhat. I think you were trying to say that you couldn't care less what he/she looks like.
