Today, I was at my sixteenth birthday party. My guests consisted of my grandma who I live with, and my 2-year-old cousin she was babysitting. FML

well happy birthday...belated. at least you got to spend it with family & again on the brightside, you're not grandma old yet... but you're not 'crapping in your pants' young anymore either. something to be happy about? i do believe so. enjoy all your birthdays while you're still out of diapers. :]

I'll be your friend. all my birthday from 13 up sucked cuz I spent them alone In my room cuz my parents were too busy fighting over divorce stuff. n my 18th bday my ex tried to run me over cuz I broke up with her awesome good times

So? My birthdays always suck, too, they don't really matter to be honest; just another day. In fact, I think I'd dislike it if people threw me a party; don't like the food. Probably wouldn't like the people that would come either. I think this is a good thing - you get to spend some nice quality time with your Granny who won't be around forever.

I don't blame you, OP. I got nothing for my 16th birthday except a 99 cent birthday card and a "F*ck you!" from my so-called "friends". :( It was the worst 16th birthday i've ever experienced. Too bad I never got a smile from my own family sister but "good for you." :(

#67, it's the only 16th birthday you'll ever experience.

last time I checked cool grandma smoke pot,

At my party 30 people said they'd be there and we spent a bunch of money renting out a great place. My best friend and my stalker showed up =P

Hardly anyone's 16th birthday is magically wonderful and thrown at some fancy venue. Mine definitely wasn't! I learned this lesson again recently on my 21st.

I know, right! I don't think I've even had some fancy venue - infact, I know I haven't. The only time I had friends over for a party when I was little was when we went to McDonalds for my birthday. :S I'm 19 now, and on my birthday, all I did was go to someone elses birthday party (who's birthday was a few days later or before, but held the party on the friday, my birthday). So even when I did go to a party on my birthday, it wasn't for me. :( I don't like that whole singing Happy Birthday and loads of people aspect of parties anyway; the singing is just embarrassing!

Oh, come on. Stop being so whiny and self-centered. So you didn't have a birthday party. Big deal! Other kids don't even have food, or a decent house to live in. Hopefully you'll have plenty of birthdays to celebrate from now on. Instead of complaining that your parents don't spoil you, you'd better go to school, get yourself a nice career and you'll be able to pay yourself as many birthday parties as you want.
