Today, I was at the airport. I was on my way to see my dad for the first time since I was 4. Whilst I was waiting for my dad to find me, a strange man started flirting with me. Irritated, I told him I was waiting for my dad to get me, and to f*ck off. The strange man was my father. FML

Today, after my dad ran off 15 years ago, during which time my mom died, and I had to become my brother's legal guardian and somehow get both me and then him through university while working 4 jobs, my dad turned up on our street. He tried to flirt with me, because he didn’t recognise me. Scumbag. FML

Today, I was at the mall with some friends. In the food court we passed by this creepy pervert feeling up a woman. I take a closer look and realize with horror that the guy is my dad in sunglasses and a hat. The lady he was with was not my mom. FML

Today, I met my biological father for the first time. He seemed to be slightly intoxicated from the outset, and less than half an hour later, he had tried to intimidate me into "loaning" him several hundred euros for reasons he wouldn't tell me. So long, "dad". FML

Today, after soccer practice I was looking for my dad. Last night he was an hour late, so I was pretty pissed. When I spotted him, I saw him flirting with a much younger woman. I then tried throwing my soccer ball to his feet, but ended up slamming his head. Only to find out he wasn't my dad. FML

Today, I decided to visit my dad. I haven't seen him in a while so I wanted to give him another chance to be an actual dad to me. Apparently, getting drunk and getting it on with his girlfriend while I was there was more important than spending time with his daughter, who he hasn't seen in almost a year. FML

I'm not buying this fml. I think OP was over-reacting. Dad probably walked up to her, knowing who she was and said something like "hey good lookin'". She's most likely too tightly wound. They've obviously been corresponding. I'm absolutely sure they exchanged photos. Would be dumb if they didn't since they're meeting up. YDI.

So you expect me to believe that you hadn't seen your father in many many years, and then just jumped on a plane to go see him without even exchanging pictures beforehand? Because I'm pretty sure that wouldn't have happened if you knew what each other looked like. And call me crazy, but if I'm flying to meet someone I at least wanna make sure I know who to look for, even if only so I know I'm not going home with a random stranger who is a good liar. Either way, calling ydi on this one.
