Today, I was at the gas station with my grandma. After I slid her card and began to pump, I convinced her that it was a lot easier and more convenient to pay at the pump with your credit card instead of paying inside. She yelled as I realized I went $20 over what she had to spend. FML

Its going to be a lot more expensive when you realize that someone spent 2000 dollars using your credit card. I never trust those machines all those new ways to make a duplicate of my card, I'll stick with cash.

if someone overcharged your card by 100x what you spent, you would probably emd up rolling in money from suing their asses off. that is identity theft and its very illegal, and the chance of someone you paid with a card stealing the number and spending your money is astronomically low. at least not without you being reimbursed. cards have anti fraud safety nets set up as well. your fear is illogical.

Cheap or frugal? Most grandparents don't have lavish incomes to live off of. They have to spend their money wisely. And OP should def pay the diff for the fk up.
