I would love to hear the concierge's point of view! Either he watched OP take a glass bead and put it in his pocket or something, or he got to see him take one, put it in his mouth, and spit it out. Either way I bet his story is pretty funny!

It was. I took a few, popped one in my mouth and put the rest in my pocket. She gave me a blank stare. Then I swallowed one and she's like "uhh sir that's glass". I'll never forget that face

That is the best story ever! I can't imagine the face she made or what she was thinking as she watched you swallow the glass bead! I can just see her telling this story to her friends and family. This is the best fml and follow up! I have to ask though OP, didn't the "mint" seem a bit weird to you before you swallowed it?

Yikes. Once, when I was a kid, my mom had fancy little balls of soap in a dish on her bathroom counter that I also mistook for mints....that was a rough day, too.
