Today, I was driving home through the middle of nowhere when a screw punctured my car tire. I arrived at the town's only auto shop to find that it had closed early. Frantic, I dialed the emergency number listed on the shop's locked door. On the other side of the glass, a phone began to ring. FML

Obviously the guy would've called someone eventually, but it's the ridiculous cruel irony of this that makes it an FML. He's stuck in the middle of nowhere, finds the only auto shop there is, and the number they post to call in an emergency is the phone in the shop, where nobody happens to be because they closed early. FMLs don't have to be unsolvable... I generally find that they're one of those "Oh, come ON" moments that we all have to deal with sometimes.

&??? do you not know how to change a tier? I'm a girl & I've known how to change a tier since I was 10, & I've been doing oil changes since I was 13...

sounds like the beginning of a scary movie..

To everyone telling him that he need's to learn how to change a tire, that maybe he didn't have a jack, or that he had already used his spare tire at some point and for some reason (could be no time do to work, lack of cash, or it simply not arriving yet) he hasn't gotten a new one yet.

You just be a woman or you would of just changed the flat. Lol

Being a girl I can understand you might not be sure how to change your tire...but anyone driving by will probably help even though that might take awhile

many of those emergency lines ring on the main phone first and then transfer to the phone of whoever is on call.
