Where in MA, western? That blows. I don't currently have a spare tire in my car so even if I wanted to change my own tire I couldn't. **** off haters.
How did you get back home to write this FML?
that place is retarded, if u go there and see the emergency # then u can just go in! they r so retarded
so change it yourself? are you that retarded that you are incapable of changing a tire?
That is so retarded!
I find it funny that everyone here is under the assumption that the OP can't change a tire. I mean, sure, they didn't bring a spare tire, which was stupid, but if they did, and had tools, perhaps there wouldn't have been a problem.
Maybe, maybe not, but it's undeniably foolish! In defence of the OP, it's possible she tried to change the tyre, but couldn't. Wheel nuts can be a bitch to get off with a cheap-ass wheel brace from a spare kit, especially if they've been tightened with an impact driver and left on for a while.
Which is why it's not a bad idea to toss a $10 breaker bar in the trunk, too. I've seen big men unable to break lugs tightened with an impact wrench with the little lug wrench that comes with the jack.
Get yourself run-flat tires!!
maybe that screw prevented you from getting in an accident maybe

break glass, pick up phone!
Obviously the guy would've called someone eventually, but it's the ridiculous cruel irony of this that makes it an FML. He's stuck in the middle of nowhere, finds the only auto shop there is, and the number they post to call in an emergency is the phone in the shop, where nobody happens to be because they closed early. FMLs don't have to be unsolvable... I generally find that they're one of those "Oh, come ON" moments that we all have to deal with sometimes.
