Today, I was driving on the freeway when I get a call from my friend explaining that our two best friends died in a car accident. I pulled over in hysterics and a cop came to see what was wrong. I explained what happened and he gave me a ticket for talking on the phone while driving. FML

Today, I was driving when I noticed that the guy in front was on the phone. I pulled up next to him, pulled out my phone and I made a gesture that he needed to put his phone away. It was a cop. I got a ticket for driving while on my cell phone. FML

Today, I was driving on the freeway when I saw a car in front of me swerving across 3 lanes of traffic. Thinking he might be drunk, I dialed 911 on my phone, but I dropped it. I fished under my seat to get it, swerving, and got pulled over by highway patrol and given a field sobriety test. FML

Today, I had to explain to a cop that the reason I was speeding was because my girlfriend was in the hospital due to a car accident. He was working the accident just ten minutes before and saw me leave behind the ambulance. He still gave me a ticket. FML

Today, I saw a car swerving in front of me on the freeway, so I whipped out my cell to report the DUI. As soon as it started ringing, I see police lights in my rear view and got slapped with a ticket for using a cell phone while driving. After explaining why, the officer said, "Nice try." FML

Today, I lost control of my vehicle while driving. The car went off the road, rolled over, and ended up being totaled. The policeman asked me if I was alright and I said I was. He seemed relieved at my answer. Then he handed me a $300 ticket for failing to maintain my lane. FML

Though I feel sorry for you for losing two of your friends [even though you're not too upset about it since you're posting something so traumatic on an international website], YDI for talking on your cell phone. It's a state law in a lot of places. Duh.

Call me a troll, but even though it sucks in her situation they can't entirely blame the cop. Regardless of the situation, she was 'impaired ' and driving on the road (emotional problems) and talking on a cell phone. OP still should've gone off with a warning or something, seeing the conditions. sure the cop is an asshole for giving the ticket, but he's still doing his job

SO sorry for your losses. but talking on the phone while driving is sort of careless. you were putting other people at harm when you answered your phone, and you could have EASILY caused another car accident. my condolences

yeah, it's sad.... except i have a hard time believing that this really happened. i don't think that it would really occur to you to write about this on FML, even if it happened a while ago, because it's just too gruesome to see the humour in it. Even if it was made up it's still not funny.

Thats assed up. Your friends die, and you go in hysterics? why the **** would you laugh hysterically at your FRIENDS dying? And I though the cop was a fuckbag here.
