that really hurts on so many levels. that guy is a douchebag...and people need to stop being so righteous about talking on the phone and driving. Beaides this fml isnt just about a petty ticket...its about a ticket on top of everything else. that law is really only enforced if the driver was already comitting a more serious infraction, so it's unfair. I am really sorry for you and your other friends loss. Just take it easy.

You didn't know why your friend was calling and shouldn't have picked up the phone in the first place if it's illegal in your state. That said, I am sorry to hear about your friends.

Seriously, is the cop an idiot? You *pulled* to the side of the road when you heard the news. You were not driving while on the phone. Therefore, the cop should not have given you a ticket. Fight that and you'll get it waived.
