Today, I was driving on the freeway when I get a call from my friend explaining that our two best friends died in a car accident. I pulled over in hysterics and a cop came to see what was wrong. I explained what happened and he gave me a ticket for talking on the phone while driving. FML

Today, I was driving on the freeway when I saw a car in front of me swerving across 3 lanes of traffic. Thinking he might be drunk, I dialed 911 on my phone, but I dropped it. I fished under my seat to get it, swerving, and got pulled over by highway patrol and given a field sobriety test. FML

Today, I had to explain to a cop that the reason I was speeding was because my girlfriend was in the hospital due to a car accident. He was working the accident just ten minutes before and saw me leave behind the ambulance. He still gave me a ticket. FML

Today, I saw a car swerving in front of me on the freeway, so I whipped out my cell to report the DUI. As soon as it started ringing, I see police lights in my rear view and got slapped with a ticket for using a cell phone while driving. After explaining why, the officer said, "Nice try." FML

Today, I lost control of my vehicle while driving. The car went off the road, rolled over, and ended up being totaled. The policeman asked me if I was alright and I said I was. He seemed relieved at my answer. Then he handed me a $300 ticket for failing to maintain my lane. FML

Well, the cop was just doing his job. Idk why everyone is so quick to jump on their balls about everything. She didn't know what the news was when she picked the phone up. She picked the phone up while in the car, which is obviously illegal in whatever state she's in. She had no idea it was an emergency and was endangering other people around her to talk in the phone about something that may have been unimportant. I'm not saying this to be heartless or anything, just to play devil's advocate. The cop wasn't heartless, he was just following the law. However I wouldn't have done it if I was the cop.

That sucks, but you answered the phone while driving, not knowing what it was about. If you told the cop that, then of course he'd give you a ticket. It's his JOB. Besides, if somebody you know dies, that doesn't mean you can break the law.

That's so fake! If 2 of my best friends had just died the last thing I'd do would be posting an FML about a 20 quid fine... In case it is true, I will have to agree with mobious... YDI. Dead friends don't give you the right to be a reckless shit on public roads, plus you answered the phone before knowing what you'd learn. So the news are no excuse for taking the call.

Unfortunatley some people really are that shitty. Sorry for your loss. Although, if this really were true, why are you posting this on FML if your friends just died?
