Today, I was driving with my parents while explaining that young people like myself are better drivers because we have better reflexes. My explanation was suddently interrupted with the sound of me crashing the car against a parked car. FML

Ahaha wow! that's what you get for being Cocky & Braggy! Lmao

teenagers and the elderly are the worst drivers. that does not mean all teens and old folks are terrible, but most terrible drivers are teens and old folks. congratulation, you are now a statistic!

You're wrong. Best reflexes - males 35-40 yo. (Yes, extensive research has been done in that area.) Sorry, women, you might have faster reflexes, but not the ability to interpret them correctly, so the driving reflexes are slower.

I'd like to see the research that makes the conclusion you just did. I would guess women's mental reflexes are probably equivalent to men's, but the physical ability to keep up with that mental reaction is probably not as good as men's. I doubt it has anything to do with "interpreting" the reflex.

You Dumb Idiot You Deserved It

sigh....well at least it was a parked car....

You hardcore deserved that. You claimed to be better at something than someone who's been doing it (depends on your age but i'm guessing) 20 times as long. That's a shit ton of arrogance. Driving safely has a number of qualifiers and YES reaction time is one of them. Judgment (which you get from experience and common sense) is bigger. Sure reflex can get you out of a crash that's just barely avoidable but judgment keeps you out of that situation in the first place. Almost every crash is caused by a judgment error (like not paying attention).

What a fail OP...this is what gives young drivers like myself a bad reputation, even if I have never been in an accident. I hope your parents restrict you from driving for a while until you learn to concentrate on what you're doing behind the wheel.
