You people think that she's complaining that the fire trucks were out are really dumb. How do you feel when you're almost asleep and then something wakes you up completely, very suddenly?

Normally I'm big on pointing out the jerkish points of an FML, but even though I sort of agree with the people who have pulled you up for complaining that emergency services kept you awake (while most likely on their way to save lives, houses and property in general) I still feel pretty bad for you, sweetheart. I can't imagine living on 2 hours sleep a night, and it would have been the worst thing ever to be jolted awake from the brink of sleep so abruptly. FYL big time. But still, try to keep in mind the purpose of those trucks before hating on them, yeah?

you'd be glad to have the trucks making noise if you had any kind of incident at your house. i can't think of a more selfish thing to complain about, honestly. what about the firefighters getting woke up in the middle of the damn night to go take care of that and help people, risking their own lives? but youre gonna bitch and moan cuz it interrupted your little nappy-time. HOLY CRAP

PS: i have had diagnosed insomnia for two years, and im a firefighter. so its not even an argument worth having. if you're tired, get off the computer and hit the rack. try thinking about the fact that you're not actually the only person in the entire world.

that sucks im am insomniac too and have been dealing with no sleep for a REALLY long time. But firefighters need to do there job and if that means waking you up in the midle of the night to save someones life than thats whats gonna need to happen.

Poor you, those firefighters should have been more considerate and let the victims burn to death.
