Today, I was getting ready for a date. I spent extra time getting ready in the shower, making sure I was all shaved. I was shaving my upper lip to make sure I didn't have a mustache. I cut my lip really badly, leaving the most noticable razor cut on my face for my date. I'm a girl. FML

Today, I went to the hair salon to cut 6 in. off my hair. When I got there I decided to get my upper lip waxed for the first time. When my boyfriend came to pick me up for our date I asked if he noticed anything different about me, the first thing he said was "I see you got rid of you mustache." FML

Today, I got in the shower, washed my hair and shaved because I wanted to look great for a big date. I got out, brushed and dried my hair and spent an hour putting it up in the perfect hairstyle. Running late, I quickly put on my new dress, looked down and realized i had only shaved one leg. FML

Today, I wanted to look really good for my date. I was a little self-conscious, so I decided to use Nair on my upper lip just in case I had a female mustache. Unfortunately, it turns out I'm allergic to Nair. Now I DO have a mustache. A rash mustache. FML

Oh my God, you actually shave your mustache with a razor?!? Are you crazy? I only did that once because I was going to a party and it was a holiday so the waxing salon was closed. Dude, you should tottaly wax from now on. It cleaner, more effective, longer-lasting, harmless, and not to mention: it doesn't leave marks! Plus it's cheap :D

YDI for shaving something on your face with a razor which I'm pretty sure would have been a women's razor. Women's razors are not ment for facial hair.

First of all, all of you saying that it will grow back darker and thicker are wrong. This old wives' tale has been disproved years ago. It just looks that way when it first starts to grow in, but shaving does not affect the genetic structure of your hair. Pick up a ******* newspaper once in a while. That being said, a big fat YDI for shaving. When it DOES grow in (can sometimes even start to come back within hours), it is stubbly, and that is sick. I don't know any females that shave their lip. They have home "waxing" strips for like 10 bucks and it takes 30 seconds. Either get a sex change or stop shaving your face.

that's disgusting to shave. I don't know why everyones terrified of waxing. I'm 17 and I've been waxing my eyebrows / upper lip MY SELF. nair works also.

totally wax!! I tried that facial Nair and the Sally Hansen depilatory cream when I was younger and it broke my face out so I wouldn't recommend them though

i don't know, my friend once waxed her upper lip and when she ripped the strip off a ton of skin came with it. she had a scab moustache for weeks

why would you shave your upper lip? it's guaranteed to grow back thicker with stubble! you either wax it or thread it. i recommend waxing because it lasts longer and it's less painful. AND the hair grows back thinner in most cases. YDI
