Today, I was getting ready for a date. I spent extra time getting ready in the shower, making sure I was all shaved. I was shaving my upper lip to make sure I didn't have a mustache. I cut my lip really badly, leaving the most noticable razor cut on my face for my date. I'm a girl. FML

Pluck, thread, or wax instead, smart one.

No No No No No. What the hell were you THINKING shaving your FACE? You know how guys get stubble? You may as well say goodbye to your sex life now before you get too attached.

wow. all of you are retarded. no, her lip hair will not grow back looking like a man's mustache and all that. and she won't get 5 o'clock shadow. girls don't have nearly as much testosterone as men, so this will not happen. also, another solution that no one has mentioned that i have been using for years: they make these sort of electric razors for removal of facial hair for women. it never cuts, burns, hurts, or anything. just do it every morning, and you can't even see or feel it coming back by night. and i'm a pretty hairy person b/c i'm part middle eastern...and this totally works.

Doctors recommend plucking if you must do anything. However... remember how painful it was to have a pimple on the edge of your lip? Think what it would be like to have 100 of them all over your upper lip. Now reconsider that plucking idea. Anyway if you had shaved the day before, maybe you wouldn't have that problem? Or if you don't really have a noticeable mustache, leave your lip alone? I dunno, but that sucks, hope the date went okay anyway...

I don't get why all these people are saying you'll get thick, scratchy stubble when your hair grows back. I shave my little bit of facial hair and no one has ever noticed. I've been dating my boyfriend for almost a year and he still honest to god doesn't know I have some hair on my upper lip. Do you girls really have that thick of hair on your face to where it grows back like hard stubble? I wouldn't use bleach cream. You can still see the hair. I remember some girl in middle school had the lightest colored hair ever but she still had a lot of hair on her upper lip. Guys I knew noticed and still made comments about her having a mustache.

i get what your saying, but REALLY "YOU ARE GOING TO PUKE?" that's just a bit dramatic

YOU DON'T SHAVE YOUR FACE IF YOU'RE A GIRL EVER! hair removal cream *tick* wax *tick* thread *tick* exfoliating hair removal pads *tick* NO RAZORS ON THE FACE

its not that big of a deal. my mom shaves her "moustache" too. instead what i did was i shaved it once, then let it grow out a little (i was sick so no one saw the sorta stubble) and then i plucked all the hairs, except for the ones right under my nose in that little dip thingy of your lip, because those really hurt. for those ones i just shave them, and no one notices, and i dont have to pay a crap load of cash

what #79 said. and if you do decide to use a razor, atleast be smart and use a mirror

why do women think they should shave their faces??? wax ladies WAX

No woman should ever wax. There are plenty of hair removal methods that are available that won't leave you with stubble: Waxing, plucking, threading and depilatories.
