Today, I was giving a lecture to my class I heard a phone go off. Aggravated and exhausted, I asked everyone to turn their phones off. Then the phone rang again. I lost my shit and spent the next half hour calling my students a bunch of "technology whores". Then I realized the phone was mine. FML

Today, my phone rang during a meeting. I quickly silenced it, and put it in my pocket. A few minutes later, my boss’s phone rang. It was me, butt-dialing him while we were sitting in the same room. He answered and asked if I had something urgent to discuss. I did not. FML

Today, I needed to call my mom to get some info so I dialled the number on my work phone. Not 2 seconds after, my cellphone rang. I got super pissed off because I hate when people call me on my cell at work. It was me. I'd dialled my own number. FML

Today, as I was yelled at by a middle school teacher in front of 30 6th graders for breaking the rule of "no cell phones in school." Luckily, I escaped being sent to the office after explaining I'm a 21 year old college student doing student teaching observations, not a middle schooler. FML

happens to the best of them. could do without the preaching though..."technology ******?" Really? That part wasn't necessary. If students have to be professional and are called to high standards of conduct, so should professors, especially since you people have jobs for life (which IMO is amoral).

My history teacher did this a few months ago. He was in the middle of a lecture and someone's computer made a noise. He slammed the lid shut on the kid whose computer he thought it was and went off on this rant about how inattentive we are and wasted the whole class. No one had the nerve to tell him it was his computer.
