Today, I was going on holiday. As I was checking in my bags, I said to the really cute steward, "I think I'm overweight." He told me about discounts for customers of 'larger proportions.' I was talking about my suitcase being overweight. FML

Today, I was at the airport to catch a plane. It was very crowded at the gate and there was nowhere to sit except for a flat metal bench, so I sat on that. Turns out I was sitting on a luggage scale, so my weight was displayed for everybody to see. FML

Today, I was standing at airport security. One of the bag inspectors asked me to remove my travel pouch, pointing to the lump under my shirt. I didn't know how to tell him that it was just one of my fat rolls. FML

Today, I was supposed to fly home for my dad's funeral, but the woman in the seat next to me was so obese, her bulging flesh left absolutely no way for me to sit in my seat. I complained to the stewardess, who then forced me to leave the plane just for raising my voice in frustration. FML

Today, I came back from my 3-month vacation in France. During my vacation I lost 32 lbs and I was so excited to show off my new body to my boyfriend. When he walked in the door, he didn't notice me, but he did notice my younger, thinner and tanner sister strutting around in her bikini. FML

Today, while going through airport security the lady asked why I folded everything so small. I said that I was going away for a month and needed to fit a lot of stuff in only one bag. She smiled, nodded and then dumped my luggage to search for "drugs and other illegal teen things." FML

Today, even though I'm overweight, I was feeling alright about the way I looked in the historical costume I'm required to wear by my job. A little kid came in and asked me if I was having a baby. Guess I don't look as good as I thought. FML

Today, while going through customs at the airport, my bag was selected for screening. It was nearly overflowing because it was so full, so before the TSA agent searched it, I said, "Watch out - it's going to explode when you open it". Wrong choice of words. FML

Easy fix: "I think MY BAG is overweight." No misinterpretation if you add the noun of the thing you were talking about. Otherwise I'd have said the same thing to you since you used the 'I am' Think you deserve both a FML and YDI

Some airlines actually charge EXTRA money for obese passengers. They make them buy 2 seats. This makes no sense.

yh but they will gd a discount on teh second seat cos they arnt getting all the stuff you would with the 1st seat like more carry on bags or a second meal (much as they would like it)

Uh, I guess it was a redeye flight--since you most likely cried. IF and ONLY if you can't help being overweight,(i.e. have been exercising daily and eating healthy and still for whatever reason cannot lose the weight), have a disease, or are just a large football player sort of person, than you have a right to be upset. If you were sensitive to it then you know this. Take this as a sign that people are taking note of this and you need to do something about it. It bothers you, fix it. If it didn't bother you then you wouldn't have put it on this site.
