Today, I was having a debate with my friend, who actually believes karma is real. He got very angry with me and stormed off, tripping over his own feet in the process. I laughed and asked what he'd done in a past life to deserve that one. He responded by getting up and punching me. FML

You have your beliefs, and he has his. Why do you have to make fun of him for it? YDI.

Technically speaking, your comment is real, but that's got nothing to do with what you said. Your logic: am I doing it right?

"Karma" is just an idea made up by those in power to keep them from standing up for themselves. However, physical consequences for your actions? Those are real.

Better watch out, I hear karma kills....or maybe that was crack.

You may not believe in Karma, but Karma believes in you.

You went too far. It's fair for you to argue against it. Hell, I don't believe in karma either. But mocking a person, especially for their beliefs, is asking for trouble. I wouldn't have punched you over it, but you can't play that card and feel like you're purely a victim in this situation.

What could possibly be more ignorant than believing in something without evidence?

They were debating. Why did the friend need to convince him karma is real? Unless you're saying it's okay for the friend to state his opinion, and not for OP to state his differing opinion.

Wait, what? It's "intolerant" now to disagree with people when they're wrong? Would it be an "asshat move" to tell a Flat-Earther that the Earth is round, or to even ask them to explain why they think it's flat?

62 - You're flat out WRONG! It's called the burden of PROOF and it's on the person that ASSERTS that something unproven exist to prove that it in fact exist. I can't PROVE that Santa clause doesn't exist that doesn't meant I can't argue based on the evidence we have available that he doesn't! I know I'll get thumbed down for this but I can't take these asinine comments anymore.

90 - If I tell you I had a baseball behind my back and you say "you don't believe" is it then your responsibility to prove that I do or don't? No its MY obligation to provide the evidence "the ball" or you can just go on not believing... this is the same case here Yes in some case people can assert a negative but like I said you can NEVER disprove a negative so that's a bad position to have in the first place. Is this what op was doing? I doubt it but even if he was it doesn't justify is friends petulant reaction.

Today my friend hit me on the neck and went to sit down bit fell on her ass. I yeld out KARMAS A BITHC!!! Lol
