While you care for your friend, perhaps bring up a topic of her asking what's okay to eat with her doctor because outright saying something is a difficult line to cross. Unless you are so extremely close that she won't explode back on you if you bring it up, you need to help steer her away from poorer choices and dine in a way that she can copy you. I mean, there's no clear cut answer at all. I'm not a pro in this exact subject. I'm sorry OP. It's hard when you care/love someone and the reason to help them may make them feel bad. Good luck.
That really stinks. People just don't care about themselves. A few years ago, a teacher's aide where I work needed open-heart surgery to clear clogged arteries (she had a bypass). We all chipped in for gas $, food $, and gave away sick days to her so she wouldn't lose any pay. She had a successful bypass procedure done, then left the school for a different job. I ran into her recently, and guess what? After all that, that bee itch is still SMOKING! SMH. People suck.
