I'm kind of leaning towards ydi. She had no right to hit you, but ignoring her was blatantly disrespectful and completely rude. Its basically telling her you cant be bothered listening to what she has to say. This is even worse if you where arguing about a serious issue. You should have pulled her aside and discussed it rationally, like adults. If you didn't want to discuss it immediately, you could have calmly asked if the two of you could talk about it after the party. Ignoring her probably only made her more angry, frustrated and probably hurt. I can't say I wouldn't have been tempted to throw a punch.

If your good time takes precedence over actually resolving your problem, YDI. And to ignore someone that you're in a relationship with? Real mature. You could have asked her if you could talk about it later, among other things.
