Today, I was hosting my daughter's thirteenth birthday party. One parent decided to stay at my house, the only parent to do so. The entire night she critiqued every decision I made, from the films to the cake. When it was time to open presents, her kid was the only one without one. FML

Yeah **** the kids life (with the bitch parent). I'd be super embarrassed if I was 13 and my mum stayed at the party with me. I'm 21, so it's different now, but back then... :Z Ain't no body got time fo dat!

It's not the kid's fault her mother is a massive ****. It's also unfair on OP's daughter who has to have one less friend at her birthday party.

but Unless the kid is really young she should have remembered to remind her mother or asked her mother to get a gift/give her money to get a gift for her friend

I think OP meant that all the other kids brought gifts for her daughter (their friend) And the kid with the mean mum didn't bring a gift for OP's daughter. I could be wrong! God knows they'll hang you for making a damn assumption on FML, aha
