So I had the same problem, so I went out and got a cheaper one of those ipod/radio alarm clocks (this way I can vary what song plays and I don't become desensitized to the same sound every day) and it goes off first across my room and just keeps getting louder until I turn it off. Then 3-5 minutes later my cellphone alarm goes off with a really loud ringtone. I've been doing it for 5 months now and I get up almost every-time (with exception on those really bad days where you just can't get up. lol) Another idea I've thought about is putting my alarm in a small cage that I can't reach into, with a combination lock on it (maybe have the combination written down next to it if you can't remember it fast enough when you wake up); so that way you have to focus enough that your body realizes your actually awake.
put your alarm clock across the room
Funny how this should come up when I did the same thing this morning, causing me to miss my mid-term (prof was nice, though, and let me do it in his office when I finally did make it in) I have a habit of just switching off the alarm clock in my sleep, as well. Setting it up across the room doesn't work for me because I just stumble out of bed and swat at shit until the beeping stops, then go back to bed.
i don't believe this. and btw, sleep apnea is where you stop breathing in your sleep
Sounds like someone needs a running alarm clock: http://www.latestbuy.com.au/clocky-alarm-clock.html
#10, that doesn't work. I just snooze the motherf***er and jump back ino my bed. Snooze, Hell's button!
put it on the other side of the room. This is what I do, has worked for a long time, if you sleep walk, move it P.S. number 14 sounds like a douche, please take your computer and throw it out the window to solve our problem
Lol this happens to me every now and then. Usually on holidays though.

I do that ALL the time. What you need to do is set the one by your bed (the one I assume you are turning off), and then set another one across the room about five minutes later so you have to get up and turn it off. Between the two of them and having to walk across the room, it should wake you up. If it doesn't, set another across the room.
Whoa.
