Today, I was late to work because the metro broke down. Yesterday I was late to work because the train in front of me broke down. The week before that I was late to work because the swat team shut the entire metro station down. Even the interns think I'm making this up. FML
I agree, your life sucks 505

If the SWAT team had to be called in, wouldn't that be on the news? You should at least be able to get away with that one.

Poor OP. that really sucks FYL maybe it's a sign though :p

11- what is this, the ******* advice column!? seriously, how do u know they have a phone to call, or even service. and u can't call someone lazy just because the metro broke down and they were late a few times. so shut your fat mouth and leave OP alone

If you were telling the truth, others would have been effected as well and able to back you up. Are we to believe that you're the only one in the building who takes the metro, reads the paper or watches the local news?

Only the first of your list applies, for reasons I've already stated. She could easily be the only one using a specific Metro line to get to work.

Delays over 10 minutes are reported on Metro's website and archived so I stand by my comment. I agree that OP may be the only one to take a specific rail but s/he said an entire station was shut down. Misery loves company and I find it hard to believe that no one else heard about about a station being shut down through the bitch vine.
