Yep, that's why you keep the customer service number of the transit authority you use to give your boss in case of BS suspicion. In japan there's actually hundreds of paid employees that hand out little cards with codes and time explaining the incident on the train/subway/boss and delay caused to be sure that employees dont get under fire for circumstances out of their control.
Least the motherfuckin' thing didn't derail like in the summer. I was riding the amtrak...of course a different rail, and we stopped for 2 hours after hitting a person and his dog. More people get killed in car accidents than train, plane, bus, and public transportation combined. To those above who shit on public transportation, some people cannot drive or afford to drive. I'm one who can't drive due to my disability...soooo...yeah.
As a poor Maryland college student who must rely on Metro to get to and from school, I can definitely vouch for something like this happening on Metro. A Green Line train I was on broke down suddenly in a tunnel between Anacostia and Congress Heights, and I had to wait nearly forever for another train to show up. Needless to say, I didn't make it to class that day.
Sounds like you need an Italian dictator to maintain your trains!
thank god i live in florida
why don't you try leaving a little earlier than? just saying....
On the bright side they will probably believe you when you make up an excuse to be late for work :p
come on, be honest. you DID make it all up...
Perhaps you should find another mode of transportation.
