I was too old for my job as well...until someone else was hired then I got to keep it... You should appeal that...if that's the reason they give you then there must be something else going on that they don't want to tell you...

I get fired from my workplace when I turn 18 because it's cheaper to have employees under 18. So that can be a reason why they let you go...

A lot of places to fill up with younger than college age workers because they won't have to pay for full time and on average cost less than several full timers.

As much as I am against suing, I'd say sue for wrongful dismissal as that is ageism and illegal.
