This is the poster, and actually I had bought him a promise ring on valentines day. He used the box I gave him....I just thought. I might have been getting one in return. And no, I am not materialistic or ungrateful, and I know he can afford it. Just got my hopes up. If he had JUST given me the ring, it would have been great.

I know it's the thought that counts, but I know from experience that making a ring out of a dollar bill takes maybe 2 minutes. How much thought is that? And who puts it in a Kay's box to trick someone?

That is cute! He probably doesn't have the money to buy a real ring, and wanted to give you something crafty and hand-made. The box was probably his mom's and he did it to be cute. Don't think it bad of him. Guys are just a little retarded sometimes. It was a sweet gift.

Maybe he couldn't afford the real thing right now it could be a promise that he's going to put a real one in there for you one day, I would wear it with pride.
