lmao what are the odds
That's what you get for lying to your kids. And digging shallow graves.
That's what you get for lying to your kid about something like this.
Few questions - why would you let him dig where you buried the dog. Why wasn't it buried deeper. and when he DID dig it up, why did you tell him it was the dead dog..you already lied to him about the dog before so lie again and do what #6 said, tell him it was dinosaur bones or something. YDI for being stupid
agree with #3, first of all. secondly i understand the desire to want to shelter your kids, but they have to learn about death sometime. i was never told any "farm" stories as a child and i really appreciate my parents for that. but either way, it's your kid. but bury that stuff better.
so what did you tell him it was?
And this is why we don't lie to our children. You ****** him up but good with this, far more so than if you had simply told him at the time that the dog was dead. Ace job of parenting you're doing there, son.
dude you are like ten years old, what do you know about parenting, kids always think they know better
148 His profile says he's 49. Where did you get 10?
you shoulda dug deeper, idiot. and told the kid the truth. kids need to learn how to handle death at a young age.or they'll be 18 going "no my grandma didn't die, she just took a very long vacation to antarctica."

Perhaps you should have buried the dog further down... he must've been awfully close to the surface if your son was able to reach the bones with a plastic shovel.
And this is why we shouldn't lie to our kids about dumb stuff. They can handle the truth.
