Today, I was pulled over by a police officer for speeding. After writing the ticket, he asked me why I was wearing a surgical mask. I told him that swine flu was found in our area and I was scared. He thought that I was insulting him and wrote me another ticket. FML

Hilarious. I know a guy who has believed for over three years now that bird flu will bring the end of the world. Soon as I saw the news I sent him a message saying OMG - flu outbreak and this one's got ur name on it!

ive got the swine flu. i have a sore throat and a cough which is one of the symptoms. so im coughing all over you :) but that cop is a dumbass

number 8, in many cities its illegal to wear a surgical mask in public if you are over the age of 12. look up the laws before you start telling people what they can and can't do

#98: No, schools did NOT "HAVE TO BE CLOSED DOWN" because of this. They had to be closed down because of paranoid, litigation happy parents and people like you, who wet your panties at the first sign of things like this in media storms. Eight people had the flu, out of 100 who went on a trip, and none were hospitalized. Not "OHSH*TWEREALLGONNADIE!". It's a flu, Not a pleasant strain of it, but readily available antivirals will kill it with high efficiency. More people die every day from ODs, from GSWs, from pneumonia than have died from this. Do you still think we're all going to die from SARS, too?

It's in my area too... Like 23 people that are in the private school here have it. So they shut the school down :( So scary. We just played them In Rugby too... before we knew they had it.. hah. not cool.

I call BS on this. Blown out of proportion or not, the swine flu is a big deal and law enforcement departments would brief their officers on it. BTW, unless you live in Mexico City, you're really, really overreacting.
