#32: what's a real job to you? I went to art school and I have a very well paying career in the arts, while you probably work at a fast-food restaurant while little children make fun of you. FYL.
You've clearly established you're cool, #32, so you can go join the other fucktards because you are obviously mourning the loss of your own life goals and dreams. Just because you have a shit-tastically disappointing life doesn't mean everybody has to. Let OP get into something he enjoys. Not to mention, just because you're in art class doesn't mean you're majoring in art. Some people *enjoy* art, so leave OP alone. That said, it's too bad that so many art teachers feel the need to judge work so harshly, since there are so many artists who are famous for starting a new movement. Like Picasso. His paintings are so ****** up, they're good. Just don't think about it and enjoy what you're doing, because all most people do in the real world is put you down. Like #32, here.
hey man your best can still be flawed.. i spent a quarter in high school doing one oil painting of my little bro and i bring it home and my dad (who has no clue about anything artistic) started making suggestions like i could just erase them... hopefully you didnt put too much time into something that your teacher slammed like that. art teachers are normally hippies who say every stick figure is a masterpiece.
if you think it's good, why not? there's plenty of art in galleries that I think is hideous but clearly sometone paid 20,000 dollars for it so they thought it was good.
You should have told her to get some tact.
ha! don't listen to her! hey, art is what you make it. i'm sure like, andy warhol's work wasn't favored by teachers when he was in school. but then he became famous! :]
don't worry about it, art is tough, even the most famous artists had to start somewhere. if it's really important to you, just keep working, do it because you enjoy it. a lot of artists are quick to criticize, don't take it to heart. hey, van gogh only sold one painting in his life time :]
"She's jealous, because art teachers aren't any good at creating art. They can tell you how to do it, but they don't have any talent themselves. Makes them bitter. Don't worry about it." #26, you're ******* ignorant. Where the hell do you come up with a statement like that? What makes you think YOUR definition of art pertains to all who create art? You don't have any idea what classes potential art teachers have to take. Sure, some of them may not be the greatest of all, and graduate with Bs, but that doesn't mean they can't make art, and that doesn't mean all art teachers can't do it. Art teachers DO create work outside of class, you know. As to the OP, a lot of people here have said some GOOD comments at least. Some people can be very critical, and usually it's just to help you improve. If you're looking toward a career or future passion, you'll have to toughen up that skin, because some people will have something to criticize no matter how well you do. Art is individualistic in itself; except for the basics like color theory, compositions, and linear qualities, it's really all about people's opinions and no one person is right or wrong. Just keep trying harder to prove those critics wrong!

She's kind of a bitch :/
She shouldn't be teaching if she isn't going to be more constructive with her criticisms. =/
