maybe she didn't meant that it sucked. And if she really did, remember that some of the greatest artist or bands were told they sucked by a lot of people. If you think it's great, it's a good thing already :)

Who cares what teachers think? If they were any good in their fields, they would be doing, not teaching. Teachers are for the most part, pathetic self-serving idiots who just want the paycheck and care nothing for students.

Everyone who is bashing the art teacher in this situation is really dumb. You obviously don't know what you're talking about. "Oh, Pablo Picasso and Andy Warhol probably weren't favored by their art teachers either!" Did you know that people like Picasso and Warhol actually had to learn the basics before they could start doing really crazy cool art? Nobody is going to take your outrageous art seriously if you can't prove that you actually do know how to draw realistic things correctly. Walk before you can run, lovelies.
