Hm...I may have done the same thing, but I would have only bought a couple of things. The rest of the items I would have put back on the hangers respectfully, unlike a user above me who would have left them on the floor. The point is that you want to appear classy, and giving in to their comments or leaving the dressing room sloppy is NOT classy.

You should have said- "I won't buy anything after I heard you say that." Then maybe tell her manager.
