Today, I was standing in line at a coffee shop and I noticed that there was a bug on the guys face in front of me. Trying to be nice I lightly smacked it off. His reaction was to punch me in the face. Repeatedly. FML

Today, I was standing in line at a coffee shop when the guy stood behind me let out a huge fart, then walked away. The rest of the line turned around, thinking that it was me. An old lady started to lecture me about being rude, while the guy who did it laughed behind his mask in the corner of the shop. FML

Why didn't you just tell him? In most jurisdictions what you did would probably be considered assault. That's a CRIME, and if he took you to court, he probably would have won (especially in today's politically-correct society), and you'd be sorry... You totally deserved it.

I don't understand why everyone's saying YDI. Even if it would have been more tactful for OP to just let the person know about the bug, it doesn't mean he/she deserved to be repeatedly punched in the face. ?
