Have you ever thought about trying online chat rooms? There's an app for your phone called Geeking, it's great and people have all kinds of interests on there. If you can think it, it's there. That's where I made some of the best friends I've ever had. Distance doesn't mean anything. Of course know the risks and stay safe, but I do recommend it, especially if you struggle with anxiety like I do in social situations. Online just seems so much easier.

I was homeschooled as well! There are often groups who meet up a local parks to hang out or have organized a choir. Often this stuff is only once a week or once a month so that might work with your health issues. Good luck I know the homeschooled life has its challenges, but you'll get through it!

I have thought about trying some online chats, but never knew if any could work out for just making friends (ya know since most these days are dating apps or messengers that people use for other things haha.) but thank you for the suggestion, i'll have to give that one a try and hope for the best.

Some chatrooms are still for actually being social/sociable. I've made many friends across the globe in chat and message bases/forums. It's easy to find discussions on every topic imaginable. Don't be afraid to lurk and just read to see what the personality of a room or forum is like before jumping in either. If it makes you uncomfortable, move on to a different one. You have the ultimate control over whether to participate (like here!)

Internet friends are also great, and sometimes can be there when local friends can't. One of the best friends I have ever had, I met online three years ago. She's like a sister to me now. Best of luck, and I hope you had a good birthday!

Happy birthday OP! I was in cyber school for a few years so I understand where you are coming from. It is a lot harder to make friends. I don't know what type you are in but mine I had classes two days a week and in class there was never time to trade numbers or whatnot to even talk outside class. I hope neighbors come by and you can meet some new people(: enjoy your party.
