Well this was my post..to clear things up, we had been dating three years, what we agreed would be exclusive. She met her best guy friend about two years into our relationship and started "dating him too" about four months ago.

That was time honored tradition, but when morals went by the wayside and folks started having sex on the second or third date, things became muddled. I believe the new standard is that sexual relationships, regardless of length, should be monogamous, for obvious reasons, and standard dating is nearly non existent, as relationships are expected to end or move into either exclusivity or sex after the first few meetings.

Maybe her best friend has been in her life for a long time and really feels that his friendship is worth more than letting a boyfriend tear them apart, a jealous boyfriend is the worse... I wouldn't choose my boyfriend over my best friend.
