Today, I was talking with my mother and expressed my slight disappointment at how many of my friends are getting into relationships, whereas I'm still single. My mother decided to encourage me by saying "Don't worry, sweetie. There are boys out there who don't go for looks. You'll be fine". FML

oh noooo... I'm sure you're very pretty, you just haven't met the right guy yet. I went through three and a half years of high school without ever having a boy ask me out, even with people telling me how pretty I was (or totally bashing me) but then I met my first boyfriend in one of my classes in twelfth grade and he asked me out about two months later :) I totally wasn't expecting it.

My thought exactly. Unless you are in the really unfortunate 1% of the population, there's nothing taking eating right, exercising, good taste in clothes and quality (not necessarily expensive) makeup can't fix. Throw a good personality in, and guys will be after you like flies after honey.
