Today, I was tending the cash register. I scanned a lady's items which totaled $89.68. She paid with a $100 bill. I gave her $11.32 change. She angrily gave back the extra dollar and complained about "schools nowadays". I'm an AP Calculus student. FML

wait huh she got mad cuz you gave her an extra dollar by mistake :-/

Doesn't the cash register tell you how much change to give? You may want to reconsider your major if reading 4 (four) numbers on a screen is confusing.

bwahahaha..the lady was right on both counts, the change should be $10.32 AND schools today are totally failing!

Well you still have her the extra dollar calculus or not.

when I worked at McDonald's an old man paid me 3 bucks extra because I could do the math for his change in my head without a calculator he said that he does it to every cashier to see if they can

people need to chill with this AP calculus kids are taught to deal with high level equations, so much so that simple math can easily be forgotten, it is a simple mistake and no one should feel bad about it .

Does it really ******* matter about him giving her an extra dollar by mistake? He could have looked too quickly and read the price wrong. Every makes mistakes. Oh he gave her an extra dollar for her change, its such a biiiiiig deal.. God it's like it's the end of the world on this site for you people.
