People who are telling this guy he's a moron are either kids, or never worked a job where they handled cash. It doesn't matter if you're a maths genius, if you work behind a register long enough, you're going to at least once give someone incorrect change.

the difference between a 'smart' person and a 'dumb' one is how well they find and use the tricks that make the mental work easier. its better to be capable of doing that in your head than be the sort of person that has to close the store if the power goes off or the register breaks, and im sure you would have gotten a pen and paper if it had been thousands

hahaha, i also had this kind of experience. after two years of using calculator to study physics and its mathematics in college, it is common to mess simple arithmetic. the lady really had the 'smarter than thou' attitude
