There can be times when you receive a false positive from the test most companies/businesses have you retake it if you fail the first time

I seriously hope you contested this. When companies do background checks before hiring a lot of them actually check your previous drug tests. This could really hurt you in the long run if you don't get it straightened out . At least get the company to admit they made a mistake.
