Today, I was walking home when I saw an elderly woman struggling with a large bag of garbage. I asked if I could help. I got it all the way to the dumpster and the bag ripped. Inside were about fourteen dead cats. FML

AdamwithanA tells us more.

I couldn't tell how many for sure but it was pretty heavy and the smell was unbelievable.

You saw too much... Did she say anything? What the hell could have resulted in that?! That would haunt me forever... :(

Oh my God that is terrible! What the hell was she doing with a bag of dead cats?

You should definitely try to report her. I help rescue animals and there's no possible explanation that women has for having that many dead cats. I hope she gets what she deserves. But that will only probably happen if you help bring her to justice.

Was thinking the same. OP better call whatever animal protection services you have there, it's not normal having that many cats, especially dead ones. She is probably a "crazy cat lady" that can't take care of them all, she needs help. Sad that we that work with animals see this way too often though.

Happy Early Halloween lol! You found the Micheal Myers of cats!

you need to report that to someone she might have even more cats and that's animal cruelty

I noticed your username... It's interesting

When they're cute and fuzzy it's animal cruelty. When they taste good it's called agriculture.

How old were the cats, if fresh they are actually quite tasty

Would have called animal control no way 14 cats would have died all around the same time

Unfortunately, if she's a hoarder it's definitely possible for that many to die at once. Hoarders can get *really* bad - I've even heard about one situation where there were 300 cats in a home(!). The hoarder accumulates them to the point where even basic veterinary care isn't practical anymore and then they breed, they have health problems that don't get treated or even noticed, there's not enough food for them, they're living in their own filth which makes them even more likely to get sick and this whole time the person probably continues to bring more and more in until some kind of drastic outside intervention happens. It's disgusting and cruel, and the worst part is that the hoarders still think they're helping these animals by giving them a home.
