Today, I was walking home when I saw an elderly woman struggling with a large bag of garbage. I asked if I could help. I got it all the way to the dumpster and the bag ripped. Inside were about fourteen dead cats. FML

I couldn't tell how many for sure but it was pretty heavy and the smell was unbelievable.

Perhaps she's the other sort of crazy person that goes out collecting roadkill. Maybe she has a psycho dog. Maybe her garden is the favoured place for neighbourhood strays to die. Maybe she has a mean neighbour who poisoned all her beloved cats and she just didn't know what to do with the bodies. While none of these are the most likely scenario, we shouldn't just assume that she's a crazy cat-murderer.

Has no one considered that it could've been one of those awful places where she gathers a lot of cats and forces them to breed over and over so she can sell the kittens? That's what it sounds like to me, and I would let authorities know as that is not only animal cruelty, but also selling unhealthy cats for a high price and falsely advertising them.
