Today, I was walking my husky when she saw a cat and bolted toward it. I couldn't let go of the leash because my hand was tangled up. Forced to run along, I ran into a parked van at full sprint. I lost my dog, broke two ribs and have to pay for the dent in the van. FML

Idk why but this reminds me of Scooby Doo and Shaggy for some reason! Haha

That sucks, yeah, but sounds like you need to learn to control your dog...

All I can say is that you should have trained your dog better than that. It's very important to socialize dogs with other animals, and you failed considering it chased the cat. While I do feel bad for you, you kind of deserved it. Big dogs can be dangerous and it's crucial that they're trained right. I hope the cat was unharmed.

It doesn't take much force to move somebody, to drag them along. A 20 lb. dog can pull someone off balance thats 170lbs. It doesn't make much sense, but it happens. And Husky dogs are huge, and used for sledding. They can weight 80 lbs. easily and can pull hundreds and hundreds of pounds.

Everyone who is saying OP is weak, or that he needs to get a smaller dog, or train the dig better, you dont know how nig the OP is, or how big the dog is. OP could be a 120lb 15 year old, and the husky could be a 80lb three year old. Huskys are used for sledding because they are extremely strong. It is extremely easy, even for a small dog, for a dog to pull you off balance. The OP said he was forced to run with the dog because they couldn't let go of the leash, that doesn't mean the dog drug him, or that OP is weak. It just means he made the decision to run along rather than being pulled, and face-planting. And if you're running, you can put a dent into the side of a car. At a party one night my bf's friend got mad at him and pushed my bf into his car, left a huge dent. He popped it out himself, but it was still a pretty sizable dent.
