Today, I was walking my husky when she saw a cat and bolted toward it. I couldn't let go of the leash because my hand was tangled up. Forced to run along, I ran into a parked van at full sprint. I lost my dog, broke two ribs and have to pay for the dent in the van. FML

You can't train a husky to not go chase a cat. It's in their primal nature. I've got 2 and take them for walks together all the time where they see neighboring cats roaming the streets. You just have to be VERY alert and hold on tight when they see one. And letting go of the lead in that situation = bad idea.

thats why I always carry a knife.

I'm not sorry to say this is 100% your fault. A well trained dog would never do this. Training a dog is not that difficult it just takes a lot of time and patience. People who are unwilling to put the energy into training their dog and take their poorly behaved dogs in public bias the public against dogs causing dogs to be allowed in fewer places.

The same thing happened to me, cept I only scraped the side of my face and chipped a tooth.

I want to cry I'm so sorry I have a dog and there isn't anything I wouldn't do for him

Dude...WTF. I have no idea what kind of man could be carried of by a husky.
