Today, I was walking to the bus stop. I saw a chunk of ice and attempted to kick it. Sadly it was frozen to the ground, so I fell, broke my toe, and missed the bus. Even the bus driver was laughing as he drove by. FML

Don't kick so hard next time and WOW I never noticed how many cruel, vindictive, laughing bus drivers were out there until I started reading FML. I'm starting to think that most buses are driven around empty by maniacal bus drivers and that you need a miracle to actually get on one.

What did you learn...? At least you can use the ice on your injuries.

Why are so many people saying YDI? We don't get ice chunks in Florida but I kick rocks all the time and I know I'm not the only one. Isn't kicking a chunk of ice basically the same? It's just bad luck on the OP's part.

Yeah, I live in FL too, and i kick rocks all the time. FYL for the OP!

Ice ripped a hole in the Titanic. It could have done much worse than break your toe. You should be thankful.

You have school on Sunday? Or is it a public bus.

FMLs don't usually get posted on here the same day they're submitted. Besides, the OP never mentioned he was going to school, he could have been going anywhere.

this reminds me of the time i spent the day at mcdonalds.

Haha oh that blows. I've kicked ice that didnt move and almost tripped before. Never hard enough to break anything tho.

I totally agree with this poster. You do deserve it, you should have knew better. Next time, you'll remember that, 'cause you might not be as lucky to come out with just a broken toe. Anyways. I'd have done the same thing if I was your bus drive, it's always funny to laugh at other people's stupidity.

i swear dude, i did the exact same thing when i was living in germany. AND the bust driver saw me. kudos :)

school on a sunday? and during the holiday season?

Ever heard of public transportation? The transit here goes every day except Christmas, New Years Day and Good Friday. Not all buses are school buses.

Not only that, but if it was in fact a school bus, even though it says, "Today," on all of them, it takes a while for them to get approved, so it doesn't actually happen on the same day.
