Today, I was woken up by the massive earthquake in Samoa. I went downstairs to discover that all the hotel staff had fled and abandoned the hotel guests. I was left to run up to higher ground on foot. It was a three hour hike. By the time I got to a safe spot, the tsunami warning was lifted. FML

**** you. I have actually lived through the Tsunami in south-east Asia when I was younger. FML is supposed to be a funny website, and you turned the fact that people are being harmed and having to flee from danger into a joke. You should be feeling really guilty about that, but you probably don't. You just used this horrible natural disaster as an oppurtunity to get on FML. Go burn in hell.

How the hell is the OP turning it into a joke? Ok, so you lived through the tsunami in 2004. That's great, you're lucky. But you don't have to spaz about someone posting something like this, because they're only writing this BECAUSE there was no tsunami, but thought there was and spent 3 hours trying to get to safe ground. If there had been one, I doubt they'd be on here.

There's nothing wrong with him being happy he survived, but to post it on FML just means he was looking for attention, and figured this story was totally FML worthy. Either this is fake, or this guy is one of the most insenstive survivors on the planet.

I think that one was a 7.6. There was one very close by that was an 8.0, and that one DID create a tsunami because it wasn't as deep in the crust as this one was. (This one was about 80 km down vs the other one being only 14km)

This just proves how lazy teenagers are these days. By 2012 the world will be filled with fat couch potatos. I'm a teenager myself and I have to admit I'm quite lazy, this puts me to shame
