Today, I was working at a local restaurant when another server's table called me over to ask if I've "ever killed anybody". They informed me I looked like a serial killer. I informed them, of course, that I have never killed anybody. Another customer claimed I scared her child. I was fired. FML

This is just so mean that I almost can't believe it. Who calls someone over to inform them that they look like a murderer? What did they expect you to say after asking if you've killed anyone, "Why, yes ma'am, I've murdered about 14 people. I target women wearing red on a full moon. Thanks for asking!"

hahahah we all get that... no, we dont actually. go get a makeover you scary **** :)

I wouldn't necessarily say it's fake...some people are genuinely stupid.

If real then take them to court for wrongful dismissal. Otherwise I call Shenanigans on this one.

If moms keep on babying there kids then the world is gunna b filled with a bunch of bitches. A kid could handle it, the bitch that got u fired u should find her and her kid on the street and scare them by wearing a ski mask and pull out a knife or suttin. u dont have hurt them, but make the kid a man. if only her child is a boy, if its a girl than nevermind

I agree that parents shouldn't baby their kids, but what do you mean "only if it's a boy, if it's a girl nevermind"? That's a bit sexist if you ask me.

If stories like this happen more often than not, then I am absolutely amazed at the almost backwards thinking of restaurants/customer service. The most irritating thing is that this apparent situational firing makes zero sense to me but probably made 100% perfect sense to the manager. My 1+1 is not his 1+1. Absolutely mind boggling. Good luck with your future job.

See... the woman and her daughter overheard us talking about my apparently devilish looks. She complained to the manager. Kansas is a right-to-work state, which means they can fire you for wearing cologne on your day off if they so choose.

When I think of serial killers I think of hockey masks. I assume you weren't wearing a hockey mask while busing tables, so the people who called you a serial killer are jerks. Go and beat them but only give them sustainable injuries that they will recover from, then say, I'm not going to kill you, I'm not a serial killer.

Well then, stop looking like a serial killer. Obviously :) LOL oh the irony #10
