Today, I was working at the library. Some punks thought it would be funny to shit in a book, close it and return it in the drop box. The fact that it was sitting outside in the ninety degree heat for a couple hours did not help the stench; it was everywhere and I had to clean the mess. FML

Today, at work in a library, I found a dirty diaper stuffed under one of the public use computer desks. Not only was it leaking, but it had been run over several times by a rolling office chair. I had to clean it up. FML

Today, I went to my local library to study. As I settled in, I dropped my water bottle, causing a mini flood. Panicked, I tried to clean it up with paper towels, only to knock over a stack of books, creating a domino effect of chaos. The librarian gave me the dirtiest look. FML

Today, while volunteering at my local library, a guy who smelled like crap followed me around all day. Every time I would bend over to shelf a book, he would start grunting. Apparently, he's going to be at the library every day. FML

Today, I was at the library. I went near the computer section when I saw this man cursing and pounding his fists on a computer. He left. I thought I'd check it out. As I sat down, a librarian came over with the security guard and pointed at me. I'm now being fined for destroying public property. FML

Today, I rushed from work so I could get to the library to return a book that was due. The library closes at 7:00 p.m. I arrived at 6:56, huffing and puffing. The lady saw me, slammed the door in my face, and locked it. I now have to pay a late fee for 4 minutes. FML

Today, there was an issue with the sewage system at work. It smelled like somebody took a turd, left it in the sun to marinate, threw up on it, then put in the air conditioning to fill the store with nauseating stink. I nearly threw up multiple times because we weren't allowed to leave early. FML

Today, while working at the daycare, I had to clean the entire place. During the next four hours, I scooped up three human teeth, a rotten log of shit, a tire iron, a condom wrapper, and a yogurt that expired in 2003. I only cleaned the place a week ago. FML

Why would you clean it up? I would have quit right then and there. Jobs of that type are everywhere. You would not have lost anything.

hmm if they asked you to clean it up, it would be an unreasonable work environment. excrement is biohazardous and you aren't trained to handle it. you would have been fine to tell them to hire a cleaning company or someone qualified to come in and take it away. if they didn't like it and fired you, you could sue them (just threatening would be enough).

OMG! Never really thought about people doing stuff like that to books. Guess I wont be taking the kids to the library for a while. Rather just buy them new ones for now on. Also not going to buy used ones anymore for them either. You know how hard it is to clean all of the pages? Impossible. Thanks for the heads up - the hard way though. They need to get a life.

This is why I stopped borrowing library books and got a Kindle. Can you even imagine the shit you can find on books? (no pun intended. well. yeah. it was intended, but whatever.) they're SO dirty. and me being the inane germophobe I am, I need cleanliness. But OP, YLIF. Seriously. Kill them. xD

lmao hahahahaha. who ***** in books these days? not one of my punk friends have ever thougth about it. that sucks ass. but yeah everyone needs to calm the **** down about twilight. yes, they're books. people read/like them. if you dont. find something else to like. people can find flaws with anything you like or dont like so be careful with what you put down. so everyone just chilll. thanks yo.
